CLASSIQUE GALA – Where Elegance Meets Generosity. Learn More

Pacific Grove, Calif. – June, 2022 – Meals on Wheels of the Monterey Peninsula (MOWMP) has spent the last half century providing nutritious meals, vital socialization, and other critical programs serving seniors, disabled adults, and veterans.

Monday through Friday, MOWMP prepares and delivers nutritious meals to homebound clients across the Monterey Peninsula. This would not be possible without a robust corps of dedicated volunteers.

For many clients living alone, MOWMP volunteers might be the only person they see in a day. Not only is the daily visit important for companionship and to ensure they receive the vital nutrition they need, but volunteers are an essential lifeline to check on the safety and well-being of a homebound group so often forgotten.

Annually, Meals on Wheels delivers 2.5 meals per day to approximately 1,100 homebound clients on the Monterey Peninsula. The agency has an immediate need for volunteer drivers, kitchen food prep, servers, and many other positions at the Meals on Wheels Community Center.

To volunteer, contact Susan Elwood at 831-375-4454 or simply fill out the volunteer application.
