Pacific Grove, Calif. – March 21, 2023 – Meals on Wheels of the Monterey Peninsula (MOWMP) announced today it has been named Nonprofit of the Year by the Pacific Grove Chamber of Commerce in recognition of 50 years of service to the community through its Home Delivered Meals program and the Meals on Wheels Community Center.
“We are honored to be named Nonprofit of the Year by the PG Chamber. They are strong partner-advocates of ours and have been for many years. We look forward to continuing our collaboration together,” says Christine Winge, MOWMP’s executive director. “We’re proud of our accomplishments around nutrition and socialization for the homebound and for our new programmatic offerings that bring together and support the broader community.”

MOWMP produces nearly 25,000 meals per month on average, serving homebound seniors, disabled adults, veterans, and other underserved populations.
