Pacific Grove, Calif. – November 9, 2021 – Meals on Wheels of the Monterey Peninsula (MOWMP) announced today it will participate in Monterey County Gives, a partnership between the Monterey County Weekly, the Community Foundation for Monterey County (CFMCO), and the Monterey Peninsula Foundation (MPF) to support local nonprofits.
MOWMP continues to build on programs to provide freshly prepared meals and meaningful engagement to senior and disabled homebound clients across the Monterey Peninsula. This holiday season, the agency asks that donors consider supporting its efforts through the Monterey County Gives program.
MOWMP is producing nearly 25,000 meals per month, a 93% increase compared to this time last year. A donation – be it $5, $500, or $5,000 – will go to support those who live alone and cannot shop or cook for themselves, and help the agency meet increased demand due to an expanding local senior population and the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

If donors choose to support MOWMP through Monterey County Gives, but prefer to send their donation by mail, they can print this Donation Form, make the check out to Monterey County Gives noting MOWMP, and mail it to the CFMCO at 2354 Garden Road, Monterey, CA 93940.
Making donations even more impactful, a percentage match of donations at the end of the campaign will provide an additional grant to MOWMP and other participating nonprofit agencies. So, the more given in public donations, the more received in the form of a matching grant. All donations are tax deductible.
