Pacific Grove, Calif. – December 30, 2025 – Today, Meals on Wheels of the Monterey Peninsula (MOWMP) is excited to announce its participation in a nationwide effort aimed at improving digital confidence among older adults. This initiative, led by the National Council on Aging (NCOA) in collaboration with AT&T, seeks to empower older adults by building skills to spot scams, communicate confidently through email, pay bills online, and more.

As one of only 50 senior centers across the country, the Meals on Wheels Community Center in Pacific Grove will host a series of in-person workshops to help older adults build confidence in using technology. These workshops will guide participants through educational programs and AT&T resources, covering topics such as online safety, communication tools, and accessing essential services online.

The goal of this program is to ensure older adults have access to resources to stay connected, informed, and safe while using the internet. MOWMP staff will also host in-person office hours to offer one-one-one support to participants.

This effort is part of AT&T’s initiative to help address the digital divide through internet accessibility, affordability and the adoption of online safety best practices. AT&T has committed to help 25 million people get and stay connected to high-speed internet by 2030.
